Things Blaire Says

Since Blaire turned two at the end of February she has been learning so. many. words. Prior to turning two, she wasn’t using many phrases, but lately she’s been putting all kinds of words together. This stage of life is so much fun! She’s learning new words every day and is (obviously) communicating more with us than ever before.

I love you.

I’m fast! (Also, I’m silly!) As she’s running through the aisles of Target.

See you later. And sometimes Later, see you!

There it is!

Awesome! And if you ask her to say “Something” she says Awesomething.

I did it!

Where are you? Mostly to our pets when they’re hiding from her. ;)

Excuse you. (To herself.) And when you explain that she should actually be saying “Excuse me” she says Excuse you me. It’s adorable.

See you, daddy. Love you. This is probably the sweetest thing I will ever hear in my entire life.

Oh, Blaire. You’re growing up so quickly. You’re currently obsessed with babies and it’s so sweet. Your little personality grows more and more every day. If there’s something we don’t understand, you’re so resourceful at letting us know what you want. Like over the weekend when you wanted to watch Paw Patrol. You brought your dad the remote, and said This! and pointed at your Paw Patrol coloring book. We are so proud to be your parents and love looking at the world through your beautiful eyes.

What fun things does your toddler say? It’s kind of breaking my mama heart to know that soon enough she’ll say things correctly all the time and we’ll miss her adorable little made up phrases. xo

She’s so cute! Also, I’m an adult but I fully intend on adopting “awesomething” into my vocabulary :)

So cute! Avery had a million adorable sayings they I never want to go away. One of my current favorites is “paint nail” for nail polish. “Mommy, my paint nail all gone! ”
I don’t correct her, hoping to keep these little phrases around for as long as possible!

That is so cute! I want to just bottle them up and keep them like this… at least for a little while! They’re just growing up too quickly.

The perfect way to spend a few hours on a 95° day! Was just scrolling through stories, saw someone say it had a “lesbian narrative” and laughed out loud. Have you seen it? I apparently missed all of the controversy surrounding the movie, which means I’ve done a great job of filtering out my feed of people who don’t approve of GaYnEsS. 👋🏻👋🏻

Happy Father’s Day JP! He’s the one who supports our family, the doer of the dishes, the planner of the trips, the parent who makes sure the kids brush their teeth, and the one who will happily jumps into the cold, highly-chlorinated water of hotel pools to make these three happy. I had no idea how challenging parenthood would be. I am so lucky I chose a partner who is so positive and outgoing (the opposite of me 🫠) to raise a family with. ❤️
