Being a mom has less hard days when your husband happens to be an amazing dad. Someone who has more patience than you. Someone who is selfless and hard-working. Someone who would do anything for the people he loves. And I’m lucky to have married that kind of someone.
Jason works 50+ hours a week, but still shows up for every thing… Doctor’s appointments, dance class, swim lessons. He does the dishes, packs up diaper bags, picks up toys, cooks lots of meals (because cooking meat isn’t my thing), he’s always up for folding laundry, he reads a mean bedtime story and he’s just the perfect reminder that good, caring people do still exist in the world. And as a dad, he’s making sure Blaire grows up to be one of those people. Plus, he gave her those beautiful blue eyes. ;)
When I asked Blaire today why she loves her daddy, she said, “Daddy dance with me.” I guess that’s an easy way to sum it up. Blaire loves Jason because he will drop whatever he’s doing, even if it’s at the farmer’s market, to dance with his little girl. We love you, Jason! Happy Father’s Day! xo
