Before becoming a mom, I was unaware how many “things” there were marketed for moms, specifically for during pregnancy or right after giving birth. And they change so quickly! In the three years between Blaire and Ben, SO many things changed. One of the reasons I started this blog was to test out new items and share what was worth trying for yourself and what I thought my fellow mamas could avoid all together, so I am excited to share some really great items I think moms will be excited to try for themselves.

Mustela Nursing Comfort Balm
My favorite thing about this nipple balm is the fact that it’s not super sticky like most others. My second-favorite thing? It won’t stain your clothing! It’s lanolin-free, made with olive oil so it is still moisturizing. It’s soothing and helps to replenish and restore skin during AND after breastfeeding. It is fragrance-free, vegan, dye-free and enriched with Vitamin E. It is safe for both baby and even for expecting moms. You can save 20% when you order directly from mustelausa.com and use code: TRISTA20. (This offer cannot be combined with any other offers. Offer valid at www.mustelausa.com only. Limit 1 per person. Playtex Nursing Bras
I first tried Playtex’s nursing bras last fall, during my pregnancy with Sloane. I’m still wearing that one and was excited to add three more to my drawer. It has been a LONG time since I’ve worn a bra with an underwire because, well, comfort reigns at this point in my life. To say I was skeptical that I’d like this bra was an understatement. A lot of things work together to make this bra comfortable. The sizing is different, it uses your band size and then a dual cup size (34 b/c, 34 d/dd) so the bra still fits as your size changes. It also has what they call “TruSupport 4-way Support system” that includes wide straps, deep cups, higher sides and a wider back. More than you really cared to know about a bra? Maybe. The other bras I tried were their 2-pack sleep bras. I usually haven’t been a fan of this type of bra because I didn’t feel like they actually fit very well, as in, my giant boobs didn’t fit into them, so what was the point. I am a F cup and the XXL size actually does fit me well. They are comfortable enough to sleep in and the fabric helps keep me cool, I can’t be the only person who finds themselves REALLY sweaty in the middle of the night while postpartum.

Milkflow Lactation Coffee Pods from UpSpring
You know I’m alway down to try something that may help my breast milk supply. It’s something I’ve stressed about and something I know really stresses a lot of moms. These lactation coffee pods are actually 100% compostable with zero plastic and zero BPAs, so don’t let that keep you from trying them! They contain both Fenugreek and Blessed Thistle. They are both known to help naturally increase milk supply. These are the first (and only) lactation coffee pods. The coffee is gluten-free and non-GMO. You can find them at my favorite place, Target, in the baby aisle.

LiftActiv Peptide-C Ampoule Serum
I LOVE trying new skin care serums, although skincare can be tricky when you’re pregnant then nursing. Luckily this anti-aging ampoule serum only has 10 ingredients, including 10% Pure Vitamin C (an
antioxidant known to help brighten skin), Natural Origin Hyaluronic Acid (to hydrate and plump the skin) and Plant-based Phyto Peptides. It is created to make your skin appear firmer and more hydrated from the first use. Within 10 days you’ll notice your skin looks smoother and more radiant. After one month of use, wrinkles are reduced and skin texture is resurfaced. Woohoo! You can use code VICHYBABBLE20 to save 15% off your order on vichyusa.com.
