This photo session was provided free of cost by Rachel Clem in exchange for a blog post detailing our experience. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

We haven’t had professional photos taken since my maternity pictures while I was pregnant with Sloane. I’ve really been wanting to get some taken, other than the 1947 I take of her per day, so when Rachel of Rachel Clem Photography reached out about shooting a motherhood session, I jumped at the chance.
Rachel has a client wardrobe with lots of beautiful, neutral pieces that all fit well together. She asked for all of our sizes and brought tons of options for us to try. (She has a highlight on Instagram showing some of her options.) I think this is a lifesaver for anyone who is intimated when putting together outfits for family photos. It’s also an amazing resource for mamas who are pregnant or postpartum and need something to fit their changing body. It’s nice not to spend money on something you will only wear once.
We met at a studio in Moline, IL and we were there for just over an hour. I would say Blaire and Ben cooperated well for the first 25-30 minutes. Rachel was amazing at capturing them as they were being their crazy selves. And she somehow could get them to sit still for some photos even after they’d been bouncing off the walls and going crazy. She was great at directing us if we needed it, although it really just felt like she was capturing us hanging out.

I love these pictures so, so much. I can’t wait to get some of these printed out and hung up around our house. They have brought me so much happiness in such an uncertain time. If this hasn’t been the best reminder of cherishing each moment and making the most of everything, then I don’t know what is. I’m glad we’ll always have these pictures to look at. We need all of the love and light we can get right now.
Thank you Rachel for capturing my little crazies in all of their glory.
