It has been sooo long since I’ve blogged. As you can probably tell, things have been crazy around here. Last weekend I thought it’d be super fun to take Friday as a vacation day and have a garage sale. And to also paint my laundry room. And to also rip out the built in shelving in the laundry room to install mud room shelving/a bench. I’m so smart!
Jason was also out of town over night in the middle of the week, which lead to a hectic few days trying to get paint colors and supplies purchased before he left. And then trying to prepare everything for the garage sale, in addition to ripping out the shelving to make room for the new built ins. Phew. I’m glad that’s over. Our mud room is about 85% of the way done, and I can’t wait to share the finished product with you. I love it already!
Once we got past the garage sale on Friday and Saturday, we were able to have some fun! We had a cookout at a friend’s and on Sunday Blaire helped me make some donuts. I basically use this recipe for the donuts. They are super easy and so, so yummy! Blaire also wore her hair in pig tails for the first time.
Well, since it’s been so long since I’ve blogged, that means I haven’t even mentioned our weekend before last weekend! We each took half days on Friday to make the trip to Des Moines to visit Jason’s brother for the weekend. Which means we did tons of shopping and made a trip to the Iowa State Fair. It was Blaire and I’s first time and boy was it a hot one! The lines were long and there were SO many people… but SO much good food. My fave was the deep fried cherry pie on a stick. ;) And I’ll just end on that… because there’s no beating deep fried cherry pie on a stick. Have a great rest of your week! xo
Here’s a photo dump of the past few weeks.

TiffanyThanks!! The donuts are so yummy… and I’m so glad Blaire’s hair is growing. We can definitely get some hair inspiration from H since she has so much of it! She always looks so cute. Miss you ladies!
