Hey, baby! Blaire is going to be a big sis!

I am so, so excited to finally share our exciting news! We are expecting baby no. 2! We are so excited/happy/nervous for Blaire to become a big sister. She talks about the baby every day… including telling us that the baby in her belly is making her tummy hurt. (Maybe I shouldn’t have tried to explain my “morning” sickness to her?! lol.) We have been praying for baby 2 for quite awhile now, so we feel incredibly blessed it’s finally happening. God’s timing is the best!

So far I feel sick almost all day, every day. But I don’t actually get sick that often… which is exactly how I felt during my pregnancy with Blaire. I’m pretty sure I could sleep 12 hours a day and still be tired. Nothing sounds good except cereal… and ice cream.. and that’s probably why it’s already time to get out the maternity clothes. And it may almost be time to get out the maternity pillow! ;) And that will probably require kicking the 2.5-year-old out of our bed. :( We definitely plan on finding out the gender… because there is no way I could NOT find out. I’m too much of a crazy planner for that! Also, am I the only person who finds it weird to just casually mention in a conversation to someone that you’re pregnant?! I’m just so happy to finally be sharing our news with everyone!

We decided to take some fun announcement pictures to celebrate this exciting time in our lives because we aren’t quite sure how many babies we will have. So if this is my last pregnancy, we want to live it up! As you can tell, Blaire was really excited to take these pictures, which made it even more fun.

We are over the moon about baby no. 2 and can’t wait to see what this next chapter of our life is like. We are so blessed with lots of amazing family and friends. Blaire is so excited to be a big sister, which makes it fun to go through this with her. She’s always asking “Is the baby awake in there?” and always wants to tickle my belly because she says it makes the baby laugh. It is so, so sweet. Most days I feel like my heart is so full, it may just burst!
