With our other two kids, we’ve opted to find our their gender during the ultrasound. For Blaire, the ultrasound tech just told us. For Ben, the ultrasound tech took Blaire outside the room and gave us a blue balloon so she could be the one to tell us. So for our last baby, we thought it would be fun to do a gender reveal.
I did the Sneak Peek At Home Gender DNA Test. You order the kit online, poke your finger, send it back and they send you your results. You can do it as early as 9 weeks. You just have to be really careful that you don’t contaminate it with any male DNA or else it will give you a false male positive. So, don’t worry, in my true anxious fashion I drove to Chicago a few days after to make sure it was a boy. And it is!
We decided to do the golf ball gender reveal because our country club is a special place for us. Jason and I actually met there 7.5 years ago! Obviously Jason loves to golf as much as he can, we have started doing some of the couples events the past few years and our kids LOVE spending time out there. I found some inexpensive golf balls on amazon and had the email with our results sent to a friend. They set out the right golf ball for us and it was really fun for all of us to find out together as a family!

I am so excited for this next chapter in our lives. Seeing Ben become a big brother, watching Blaire help with a tiny baby again. Now we just have to dig out all of the baby boy clothes!
