Last year I took a survey of my friends and family to find their favorite children’s Christmas books. This round up of favorite children’s Christmas books has a mixture of books that talk about the history of Christmas, as well as books that talk about Christmas traditions, Christmas spirits, etc. I definitely want my kids to have fun with the joy of giving and receiving gifts with their friends and family, but I want them to ultimately remember why we are celebrating this holiday in the first place.

The Christmas Story / Little Blue Truck’s Christmas / The Sweet Smell of Christmas
Santa’s Workshop / The Joy of Giving / The Little Reindeer
The Nutcracker / Don’t Push the Button: A Christmas Adventure / How to Catch an Elf
Christmas Songs / The Night Before Christmas / Christmas Cookies / Christmas in the Manger
The Little Snowplow / Construction Site on Christmas Night
I highly recommend each of these books. Together they are a great mix of the true story of Christmas and fun, holiday stories.

They all sound great !

In addition to reading, we love singing! This is our favorite Christmas song book. The melodies are just the right chorus length to never get old, even if my toddlers hit repeat on the button 20 times.
