I can’t believe it’s 8:45 on Sunday night. Thanks, a lot, Daylight Savings Time.
We have had quite the weekend. On Thursday I picked Blaire up from daycare and I was told that she wasn’t herself all day. Crying, sleepy and wouldn’t eat. Not like her at all. When I got her jacket on her, she laid down on the floor like she was going to go to sleep. Her eyes were rimmed with red and she definitely didn’t seem like herself. I called her doctor and they were able to get us in that night. Sure enough, she had lots of white spots on her swollen little tonsils. Her strep test came back negative and she didn’t have a fever. So they sent us on our way with orders for lots of fluids, rest and tylenol, as needed. On Friday when she woke up, another bottom tooth had popped through! I stayed home with her that day (and attempted to get some work done from home during nap time!) so that she could sleep in and get lots of rest.
This weekend she has still been whiny and hasn’t been eating as much as normal. The one thing I could get her to eat on Thursday night and Friday was chicken and stars soup. She LOVED it. She goes back to the doctor tomorrow for her one year wellness visit/shots, so they’ll recheck her throat then. I imagine it’s still a little swollen, but then again now maybe it’s just the tooth to blame for my cranky girl! She was definitely happy to get out of the house today for lunch and some shopping. I was so happy to have my smily girl back. It was the PERFECT Sunday!
We’re gearing up for another crazy week and weekend. We’re getting our bedroom ready for our new bed and bedroom set to get delivered next Saturday! I CAN’T WAIT! It is supposed to be in the 50s starting tomorrow and I’m super excited at the thought of being able to go for walks in the park. Blaire was just big enough that she could swing and now she’s going to be able to run around the playgrounds. Other things I’m excited for: open-toe shoes, chubby baby legs in shorts and sunshine! We have a wedding coming in a few weekends and I got Blaire this dress and cardigan to wear. They are THE CUTEST! I’m hoping the warm weather will stick around and she won’t have to cover up her adorable little arms, but we’ll see! Have a great week! xo
