Easy, No Bake Cookie Dough TrufflesYou know I only cook easy things. So I HAD to share these with you. First, it’s cookie dough that doesn’t need any baking and doesn’t contain any eggs so you can make it and just eat it out of the bowl if you want to. But, if you’re looking for something fun to take to a party, dip it in chocolate, then top it with sea salt. YUM.

So let me preface this by saying you HAVE to make sure you follow these directions and do it in the right order. Or the dough won’t turn out right. The most time consuming part of this recipe is letting the dough harden before dipping it, and then letting it harder before eating it. The time you’re actually doing anything to prepare it, is very minimal.

We have been making them for holiday parties for the past few years and they always go over well. One batch will make about 14, 1″ dough balls.

Easy, No Bake Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour
Total Time 1 hour 15 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 3 cup Semisweet Chocolate chips (or mini chips)
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla
  • Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. In your mixing bowl, combine vanilla, brown sugar, and butter.

  2. Once those three ingredients are combined, slowly add in flour.

  3. Finally add 1 cup of chocolate chips into dough.

  4. Line a baking sheet with wax paper. Roll into 1" balls and place them on the paper. Place in freeze for about 20 minutes. You want them to be firm before dipping them in the chocolate!

  5. When your dough falls have hardened, you can take them out of the freezer and prep the dipping chocolate.

  6. Melt 2 cups of the chocolate chips in a microwavable bowl.

  7. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate. I use a fork. Then place it back onto the wax paper.

  8. Once each ball has been dipped, top them with sea salt. Then place back in the refrigerator to chill/harden for 20-30 minutes.
