Dressing the Bump: Winter Weather

Thank you to Motherhood Maternity for sponsoring today’s post! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Dressing a baby bump is seriously my favorite! I feel so much more confident when I’m pregnant… which I guess may be strange considering someone else has taken over my body and it seems like every day I have a new ache or pain. BUT, pregnancy is such beautiful and amazing thing and I’m so excited to be able to experience it again.

Both times I’ve been pregnant at the exact. same. time. I am due just about 4 weeks later than I was with Blaire. Being pregnant in the winter means I’m not one of those girls who gets by my entire pregnancy by just wearing the flowy dresses already in my closet. I am the girl who breaks out her maternity jeans by week 10 and has no regrets. We were having a somewhat mild winter, which meant I was wearing dresses to work a lot. These past few weeks have been FREEZING, so now I’m all about the cozy sweater and support leggings for my winter maternity style.

I actually wore the dress and long sweater to my 30th birthday party a few weeks ago. This dress is SO comfy and it’s long enough it should fit up until the day I have this baby. I love sweater like this cozy tunic because I can totally wear the postpartum, too. One of my biggest regrets after having Blaire was that I had nothing to wear in between the awkward stage where your body is definitely not back to anything resembling its former self.

Were you pregnant in the winter? What did you wear to stay warm AND comfy? xo

You look adorable! Both times I was pregnant it was the same season too! I actually had the same due date with both boys! Luckily one was early and one was late so they are 2 years and 1 week apart!
