Learning: SO MUCH! Kindergarten really has been amazing. She is learning to read and math is her favorite subject.
Watching: Bluey, Bunk’d, Zombies, and Raven’s home are some of her favorites. She’s slowly moving to Disney shows from Disney Jr. and it kind of makes me sad.
Reading: She loves that the library at her school lets them check out three books every week. She says one of her favorites is Dragons Love Tacos. She checks out so many different types of books! We are now focusing on the Level 1 Reader books because those are ones she can recognize most words in and she can read them to us.
What She Wants to be When She Grows Up: Still clinging hard to becoming a “Jumping Teacher”. In case you haven’t read any previous posts mentioning this, it’s a teacher who helps kids learn how to jump safely at a trampoline park.
Favorite Things to Do: Coloring, games, puzzles, playdoh, Osmo coding, and dance class. She is also really wanting to try gymnastics.
Favorite Foods: She is still our veggie lover! She takes the same thing for lunch most days with the occasional swap if I’m out of one thing. Wheat thins, colby jack cheese, pepperoni, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries/fruit snacks, and a few m&ms. She loves ramen noodles with just butter, salt, and pepper on them. She also likes it if I throw in some veggies with them.
Biggest Milestone: Learning to read! We’re starting with the Level 1 reader books and she is really good at sounding out words she doesn’t know. She’s reading this over my shoulder as a I write it. Haha! She gets so proud of herself when she can remember a new word and it makes me so happy to see her so confident in herself. She has still only lost her bottom two middle teeth, but the top two in the middle have been slowly getting looser. She also got her ears pierced in December.
My Favorite Part of This Stage: She is so helpful and so smart. She thrives on the schedule of school and loves spending time with her friends. She is hilarious and loves to try to make us laugh. She love to have “inside jokes” with Jason and I that Ben doesn’t understand.
Blaire, you’re so smart and try to have patience with your little brother. He drives you crazy but you’re really good with him. He wants to do everything you do. Your smile lights up the room. You’re the best helper with both your little brother and baby sister, it’s like you were made to be a big sis. You love school, your friends there and your teachers. You always try your hardest and don’t like to let anyone down. We love you more than you’ll ever know.
