Okay, I feel like I’m going to say this every, single month… but WHAT? How is Blaire 8-months-old already? That means there’s only 4 more months until we’re celebrating her 1st Birthday. I can’t take it.
She just wants to stand allllll the time. Whether it’s in her bouncer or jumper, or walking with our help, or holding onto the side of the couch and using it to taking steps on her own… she just loves it! The smiles and giggles when she’s standing and taking steps are my favorite! She is so mobile now. She crawled (forward, with her belly off the ground) for the first time this weekend! She mostly just pulls herself forward when there’s something she wants to get. She can crawl backwards and sideways and roll all over the place. She can even go from crawling back to sitting on her own. She was so proud of herself the first few times she did it. Getting Blaire to sit still is easier said, than done. She’s just so curious about everything! Everything she hears. Everything she sees. Everything.
Blaire has started babbling more and more and it still sounds like she says “da da”, “dad” and “hey”. We love it! It’s so funny when she makes noises that sound like words. It just cracks us up! She still loves being outside and loves animals. The park we go to for walks has a large pond with lots of ducks, and their quacks always make her laugh. Watching her grow and develop her little personality is a greater joy than I ever could have imagined. I have always tried to spend a lot of time with my goddaughter (who is now 5!) as she has grown up. Through this, I’ve known first-hand that every new stage becomes your favorite. You may miss your tiny baby, but watching them learn is so exciting and rewarding… even more so when it’s your own baby!

Blaire is so adorable! What kind of bouncer or jumper do you have? How old was she when you first started putting her in those? I am looking to get something like that for my son Rhett soon. However, he just turned three months, but is already 17 pounds. Isn’t there a weight limit on those things?! Haha

KaylaHi Kayla! Here is the link to the door jumper we have. She just started less than a month ago, but the box says it’s okay for 4-12 months. I think it’s most important that they can hold their heads up on their own. :) It’s so entertaining and she loves it! I’m glad we got it for her.
