Favorite Words/Things to Say: Oh goodness. She can say just about anything these days. She likes to give check-ups like Doc McStuffins. She will tell you to take deep breath about 7x and then will tell you good job! She likes to sing the Doc McStuffins song while she checks your ears and eyes… lol. A few phrases she says all the time: Where are you, mom?; Come here for just a second.; Mama, is the baby sleeping in there?
Favorite Things: Watching Doc McStuffins, Pretending to be Doc McStuffins, Care Bears, Zootopia, Slides, “Helping” Mama Cook and Dressing Herself
Favorite Foods: Mac & Cheese, Cheese Popcorn, Pretzels, Milk, Juice, Apples, Yogurt, Pita Pit, French Fries and Popcorn Chicken
Biggest Milestone: Ditching her binky. We took her to Build-A-Bear and put her binky in a Care Bear (you might remember we also did this for her 2nd birthday… but did not successfully deny her the binky ever.) Our first night was a little rough. She woke up a two times upset and asking for her binky. The one time we got up and got a drink together and the second time she was able to cuddle with me and fall back asleep fairly quickly. She really, really wanted it for nap time the next day, but was able to fall asleep without it.
Biggest Challenge: Co-sleeping with this crazy, bed-hogging toddler while pregnant. Potty training— we are just so busy I can’t take the leap to letting her wear undies full-time. She’s clingy. She’s going through a stage where she only wants me to do everything for her! Buckling her into her car seat, carrying her, getting her dressed, etc. It’s exhausting. Thankfully, there seems to be an end in sight.
My Favorite Part of This Stage: She’s always imitating us. It shows how much she loves and looks up to us. I love that we can finally understand the majority of everything she says! It makes things a lot less stressful.
Looking Forward To: Dressing up for Halloween, Hayrack Rides, and Trick-or-Treating. Spending time cuddling on the couch in front of the fire place, and watching lots and lots of movies and playing together as the weather gets cooler.
I love that Blaire has a basic understanding of becoming a big sister. She’s seen lots of our friends go through being pregnant and then having a baby. So she knows there’s a baby in there and loves to talk to it. She likes to tickle my belly and say she’s tickling the baby. It’s so sweet! I am really soaking in these 10 finally months of her being a big sister.
