This kid! Before becoming a mom, I was sure I’d look at my kid and feel something I never had. I knew it’d be a mixture of unconditional love and pride. Little did I know I’d have that feeling about 500 times per day. She is always doing something funny, cute or crazy and I wouldn’t have it any other way! She’s learning something new every minute and then loves to entertain everyone with her new knowledge. One of her latest things is pretending to be a dog. She crawls around on the floor, but instead of barking, she makes a panting noise! Our dog Mocha is not much of a barker, but is always panting. It is hilarious!

She has learned a few more words like gone, ew, her own name and is even learning to say the name of her daycare lady and some of her daycare friends! She had her first (top) incisor pop through this past week. She is loving fruits and veggies lately. With watermelon and green beans being her two favorites! She could eat them for every meal. She loves eating with a fork and is determined to eat every piece of her food off of one. Even if she has to pick up the piece of food and stick it to the fork.
She is obsessed with clothes. (Can’t say I’m surprised) and thinks they’re just as great to play with as any toy. She even put on her own shirt correctly for the first time a few weeks back. It was adorable… but it’s equally adorable as all of the times she puts clothes on incorrectly. She can answer you when you ask her “What does a duck say?” and “What does a dog say?” Sometimes she answers the dog question with a bark, and other times it’s her infamous dog panting noise. Her favorite song is “Itsy Bitsy Spider” and she has a dance for the first half of it. As soon as you finish the song (every. single. time.) she claps and yells “Yayyy!” for you, because she clearly thinks you did an awesome job!
Oh, Blaire! You’ve turned into a toddler overnight. You’re growing so quickly, and I’m not sure how we keep up with you. You are the sweetest, silliest little girl and we are so lucky you’re ours.
When did you all of a sudden realize your baby wasn’t a baby anymore? Also, what were your favorite things to do with your child around this age? We’re always up for something new and fun to keep this girl on her toes. ;) Let me know in the Comments! xo
