Our not-so-little girl is officially 16 months old! Time is definitely flying by. Blaire gets crazier and crazier every day! She’s a wild one. She loves to wrestle and climb things. She LOVES slides, the taller and faster, the better! She’s saying even more words and is babbling made up sentences/words ALL of the time.She loves to swim and splash. Her favorite word is still dad (or da da or daddy). She also says kitty and dog about 50 times each day. A few of her other new words are: yuck, thanks, bye bye and please (sounds like pwease). This past month she had her fourth molar break through, bringing her tooth total up to 12. She’s still chasing the animals around the house, and now wants to stop to pet every dog she sees when we’re out and about. She had a blast this 4th of July weekend because she got to see lots of different dogs. From tiny puppies to giant dogs, she does not discriminate. She wants to pet them all! She also recognizes our cars. She knows it’s us when we pull up to daycare or get home. And she is currently obsessed with flipping light switches. We have moved all furniture away from the walls, so she has nothing to climb up on.
She’s still wearing size 18 months with a few pieces of 24 months, here and there. She’s still weighing in at 25 lbs. She loves to bring us our shoes, as her hint that she’s ready to leave. She also brings us her shoes. She even will lay down or sit in a chair so that we KNOW she’s ready for her shoes. Pizza, watermelon and popsicles are a few of her favorite foods. She’s really starting to get the hang of eating with a fork and spoon. We’ve successfully transitioned her to waking up around 6:45, so that Jason can take her to daycare in the mornings, allowing me to go in, and leave work, earlier. Not so fun on the weekends! :( She’s going to bed between 7:45-8, and still taking 2-2.5 hour naps each afternoon. She’s also a snacker like her mama! She prefers crackers to cookies. Original, Cheddar and Pretzel Goldfish are some of her favorite snacks… although she recently discovered m&ms and LOVES them. She has the funniest expressions! She always looks like she’s up to something… and she usually is. We really got lucky with this crazy, wild, sweet little girl.
Blaire, your kisses, hugs, and silly expressions are my favorite. You’re so sweet, yet so mischievous. You really are such a little firecracker. We are so lucky! I want like 10 of her… not really. But maybe. I guess I’d settle for four. ;) xo
