Our girl is 13 months old… and as crazy as ever! Over the past few weeks she has learned lots of new words and is quite the wiggly worm. She now can say: night night, uh oh, mom, mama, dada, nana, dog, cat, yeah, yuck, hi and bye. I’m sure I’m forgetting something! She points all the time and I think being able to communicate with us has made her personality shine through even more. She can point at what she wants to eat, drink or play with. And she has officially been off formula for about two weeks. (So awesome!) She still loves to hug and loves to be outside. The past week has been back to winter weather, so she’s been going a little stir crazy and hasn’t been sleeping as well at night. We figure it’s due to more teeth coming through (she currently has 8 and 2 more that should be coming in soon)… and the fact that she doesn’t get to run off all of that energy at the park each night. We’re excited to see that this coming week should be back to the 50s!
We had some pictures taken of her last week and I can’t wait to get them back. It was just a mini session and was a little last minute. I took the day off from work because Jason was in Las Vegas and I thought Blaire and I deserved a three day weekend! ;) She did have to be bribed by puffs and her baby, but I think we got some good ones! Here’s our sneak peek…
There’s no way to describe this age other than exciting! She has so much fun and I’m so excited to get her outside to explore and see new things. Come on Spring! xo

Yes, being able to communicate now is probably one of the best things ever for these babes! Huntley has been pointing for so long now and gets quite demanding (or seems like it) and knows to nod her head when she’s delighted or happy or agreeing with us, as you might have already seen in our videos of me asking her if something is yummy. But even better now, we learned a few baby sign language moves and Huntley can now sign “more”-“please” which makes me think I should have started teaching her signs sooner – lol!
From what I see those couple pics from your mini-session look amazing! And I guess it must be pretty easy taking beautiful pics of this adorable blue-eyed babe and her gorgeous mama! <3
