My little guy is a year and a half old already. HOW. It’s just a bittersweet age. He looks more like a toddler than a baby. He’s talking more. He wants to be independent. He says “no” when I try to help him. He knows what he wants and is really learning to communicate it to us. He has quite the temper if he doesn’t get his way, which is interesting coming from our outgoing, happy boy. I’ll pretend like he didn’t get that from me. ;)
Weight/Height: 22.9lbs (8%) / 32″ (33%)
Wearing: 18 months / 18-24, They’re still a little big on him, but he’s growing into them.
Saying: His favorite three words are No, Binky and Mickey. Ice cream is a close fourth. He has started calling dogs “dog dogs” most of the time and I love it.
Favorite Things: Mickey Mouse and anything his sister is playing with.
Favorite Foods: Pancakes, pretzels, crackers, strawberries and ice cream. Always ice cream.
Biggest Milestone: Playing more independently. He likes his time alone while Blaire is at school. He gets to play with whatever he wants with no one to boss him around. He loves to push cars around on the floor, “cook” in the kitchen, and clean up the house with their cleaning toys.
My Favorite Part of This Stage: The hand-holding. He really loves to hold my hand. Usually it’s because he wants to show me something. But sometimes it’s because he wants to go check on something but doesn’t want to go alone.
Seeing these two together makes my heart so happy. They are both strong-willed and know what they want. They definitely fight, but they can never stay mad at each other.
