Can we just talk about the difference between these photos?! How I wish we were home more during daylight hours because it is WAY more flattering. But since it’s winter and all… the sun is down by 6PM every night. Boo!
I never posted my 32 week update and I’ll be 35 weeks tomorrow, so I figured I may as well combine them! Overall I feel fine. I have rough days and am in seriously need of a nap every afternoon — but I somehow survive without one. I have started having some spells of dizziness/light-headedness so that’s not super fun. I went and bought some flats in a half size up because my poor feet are swollen by 10AM every day… which I don’t remember happening with Blaire. But, overall, I could definitely be feeling worse! I’m just getting anxious to meet this little guy. We’re still finishing up the nursery, but I’ve FINALLY chosen a double stroller, so our “to do” list is getting smaller. ;)
How far along: 32 Weeks
Total weight gain: 9 lbs.
Stretch marks: Nope.
Movement: All. the. time.
Mood: I go between loving my bump and being terribly uncomfortable and just wanting this little guy to be full-term already.
Food cravings: Shamrock shakes, pizza, cereal, cherry pepsi… the usual suspects.
Gender: Boy!
Sleep: I either sleep really well, or lay awake in bed until 3AM. Super fun. Regardless, it’s hard to get out of bed in the morning.
Highlight of the Week: The doctor thinks baby boy is head down (But they said that about Blaire, too…) so I’m hoping that means I’ll be able to try for a VBAC. Fingers crossed!
Miss Anything: My patience?! Being able to walk with waddling.
Symptoms: My hands and feet are started to get a little bit swollen. Still lots of tailbone pain and heartburn.
Looking forward to: Our next doctor’s appointment… I am going every other week now. And my baby shower at work!
How far along: 34 Weeks
Total weight gain: 11 lbs.
Stretch marks: Nope.
Movement: He’s always moving like crazy! With the way he’s positioned, his head is on my right side, and his butt is over on the left. So I feel him constantly moving everywhere, all at once.
Mood: So excited to meet this little guy!
Food cravings: Same ‘ol… Shamrock Shakes, coffee, cereal, pizza, fountain pop — Cherry Pepsi or Root Beer.
Gender: Boy!
Sleep: It’s still hit or miss. I either sleep like a rock (minus a few trips to the bathroom) or I lay awake for hours.
Highlight of the Week: An ultrasound! We made a trip to Chicago to try out lots of double strollers at Buy Buy Baby, so while we were there we went in for a 3D ultrasound to see our little guy. He is kind of head down/laying sideways, but definitely not breech like his sister was (YAY for trying for a VBAC!) and he was happy as could be in there. He was sucking on his thumb, and even had a foot up in his face. We got to see him yawning and smiling. It was so cute!
Miss Anything: We went to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants last weekend and I would have given anything for a margarita!
Symptoms: Swollen hands and feet. Lots of hip/tailbone pain. Heartburn every night, even from water. Dizzy spells off and on.
Looking forward to: Finishing up the last few things on our “Prep for Baby” list. Next week we’re taking Blaire to a “Big Sister” class.
