Brita Longlast Pitcher2,000 plastic water bottles are used every second in the US. Let that sink in. Drinking water is really the ultimate healthy choice, yet it is one that is trashing our planet. Plastic water bottles take 450 years to decompose and by 2050, there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean.

Thinking about the health of our planet can be overwhelming. What can one small person do the make an impact on our giant Earth? Well, you’d be surprised! Switching to a filtered-water pitcher helps us replace up to 1,800 single-use plastic water bottles per year! So, we have made the plan to ditch plastic water bottles by switching to the Brita Longlast Pitcher!  Not only does it reduce plastic waste, it also reduces 99% of Lead plus Mercury, Chlorine, Benzene and more, making for better tasting water.

Drinking Brita water means we are protecting our planet, drinking better water AND we’re saving money. Not sure you’re ready to switch? Here are a few more alarming stats:

  • Enough plastic to fill a dump truck ends up in oceans every minute.
  • We use enough plastic water bottles to circle the earth 330 times.
  • We spend $13 billion on bottled water each year.

It even has a gauge on the top of the pitcher to remind me when it’s time to replace the filter. Plus you can buy both the pitcher and the filters are Target, which is SUPER convenient since I’m there every other day anyways. ;)

Live #BetterWithBrita with me! With the help of Brita, I’m ditching bottled water as a step towards reducing plastic waste. Learn more about Brita Longlast and find out how to get it here.
