Thank you to Lorena Canals for providing the washable rug and the washable basket

Benjamin 22 monthsWe have had our house on the market for over 8 months. Which means we have been holding off on updating our home decor. Any it has been SO hard. Jason has had this living room set for over 10 years. We have slowly accumulated things that are ours and reflect our (/my) taste instead of just his and I love how it’s all coming together. And I can’t wait to buy our second home together (hopefully our forever home!) and make all of it ours.

In the five years we have lived in our home, I’ve had a few different rugs in this room. The first was grey with a little bit of beige. Then we went to a pretty blue rug, but then I decided to switch up the decor on our wall because it was just too much going on back there, especially with our house on the market. Moving to the black rug definitely gives it more of a grown up vibe. BUT it’s machine washable, which makes it perfect for a house full of messy pets and kids. A washable rug is definitely the best centerpiece of a room for us! Even the black and beige basket we keep Ben’s toys in is washable.
