It has been a full five months since I left my full-time job to work from home while keeping our babies home with me. It wasn’t the EASIEST transition, thanks mostly to my anxiety, but now that I’ve been treating it, everything is going great! We’re in a great routine and I LOVE the flexibility of being able to do what Blaire wants to do most days. Whether it’s running errands, playing at the Y, going to the park, etc. We get to spend lots of quality time together and I love it.
One thing that took me a little while to establish was my work from home mom/stay at home mom (wfhm/sahm) style. For YEARS I always challenged myself not to buy too many things I wouldn’t be able to wear to work. Since I was at work Monday through Friday, it was usually a waste to have too many shirts I could only wear Saturday and Sunday. So that has been a little bit of challenge to embrace. I think my first few months, I mostly wore my pajamas. But once I started working out, I decided it was time to buy some stylish, comfortable clothes. And I’m so glad I did!
I wasn’t allowed to wear distressed denim to work, so I tried to have minimal pairs with any holes in them. Now that’s almost all I wear. Ugh, I love it so much.
If you’re a mama who doesn’t have to worry about dressing up for work, what are your casual/athleisure go-to’s in your closet? I’m always down to add more to my closet! ;)
