livin’ my happiest life as a sahm

November 4, 2017

It’s been FOUR MONTHS since I went back to work from my 12 weeks of maternity leave. And it has been tough, ya’ll. I’ve forgotten what it’s like to sleep and my anxiety is kickin’ my butt. With two kids, a full-time job, a hubby who can sometimes work long hours, plus bloggin’ when the kiddos are in bed, life has been c r a z y.

My babies are growing up right in front of my eyes and I feel like I’m missing so much of it. Between work work, housework and everything else inbetween, I’ve felt like life has just been chaotic and I’m ready for a change.

Are you ready for the exciting news? Tuesday, 10/31 was my last day at my full time job. Being a mama is now my full time job, and I couldn’t be more excited. While I will be doing some freelance work from home (and bloggin’, of course) these sweet babies will now be my tiny bosses.

I’m looking forward to more time at home, hopefully more home-cooked meals and just generally feeling like I have my life a little more together than I have these past four months while I was back at work.

If you need me for these next few weeks, I’ll be focusing on the neglected housework and donating endless bags of stuff to Goodwill because the Peterson family is ready for less stuff, more time together and a lot more simplicity. Bring on the happy.

Any advice for this new sahm?
