This weekend we had some amazing weather! It was in the 50s, which almost feels like Summer when you’re in Iowa in February and it was just snowing three days ago. Blaire got a tricycle from her great grandparents for Christmas and this weekend was the first time she was able to ride it outside. And she was SO excited! Not only was she excited to ride her bike, she was happy she could wear sandals. She’s been asking to wear her new sandals for the past week and it’s just been absolutely freezing, so she’s had to settle for wearing them around the house. Also on our spring weather agenda? Bubble blowing.
She has been practicing riding her bike around our basement since Christmas, so she did a great job pedaling up and down the sidewalk. Knowing baby boy will be here with us in just about 6 weeks, we are excited to make the most out of this time while Blaire is an only child. Hopefully this weather will stick around so we can make lots of trips to the park, walks around the neighborhood, and trips down the slide in the backyard.
We’ve been busy getting both Blaire and her baby brother’s closets stocked up with cute baby clothes for spring and, of course, that means we’ve made plenty of trips to Carter’s. Their spring lines are so adorable! For girls, there are lots of florals, ruffles, stripes and bright colors. The little rompers and bloomers are the. cutest. Lucky for me, we have four friends having baby girls within the six weeks after our boy is due, so that means lots of shopping for cute baby girls clothes. And for boys there are some super cute dinosaur pieces, bright colors, and layers. I love being able to shop in both sections now! Oh, and how cute is the little cutout in that floral babydoll top Blaire is wearing? I couldn’t help but keep thinking about how grown up she looks as we were outside playing. I can’t believe she’s going to be three in just a few weeks!
Knowing my due date is March 30, I’m really hoping that means spring will have hit us by the time this boy makes his appearance. I can’t wait to make the most of my 12 weeks home with my two babies! Blaire is really excited to take her baby brother on long walks (she says she will push the stroller) and she really wants him to watch her go down the slides at the park. These last three years being a mom have been the best of my life. I can’t wait for the memories we’re going to make as a family of four! And speaking of baby brother, we have his closet stocked full of adorable pieces for spring, too! How adorable are these little bodysuits?
