Things here have just been so crazy busy! With Blaire being sick and teething it has been over a month since we have had a good night of sleep, which means I’m basically a zombie 100% of the time. It’s no fun! Every morning I promise myself I’ll go to bed at 8:30 (it’s the only way I can peel myself out of bed) and somehow I look at the clock that night and it’s already 10. My life currently looks something like this: Drag myself out of bed, be a zombie at work, take Blaire to the park, dinner, Blaire’s bedtime, laundry, be a zombie on the couch in between loads of laundry, collapse in to bed at 10:30, wake up with Blaire approximately 3 times throughout the night and repeat it all the next day. So. much. fun. #momlife Is this a good time to mention I’m not sure how people ever handle more than one child? Thankfully, Blaire makes up for the sleepless nights with extra cuddles!
Last weekend we road tripped it a couple hours away for a surprise 25th anniversary party for Jason’s cousin and his wife. It was so fun to see family that has only met Blaire once or twice. She definitely had a good time making laps around the party. They had a workout room and we couldn’t keep her out of there! The only thing that saved us was a darn jump rope that she was able to drag out of the room with her. After, we went to Jason’s aunt and uncle’s house to hang out with close family and eat some pizza. Blaire really warmed up to everyone there and was such a show off.
We bought a jogging stroller a few weeks ago, and I’ve been trying to run a few miles at least three times per week. Blaire loves it because once I finish my run, we get to play at the park! On nights when we don’t go to the park, Blaire settles for playing on her slide in the backyard. We always take the slide inside with us, since taking a few trips down her slide is her favorite way to start the day! ;)
Blaire goes back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon to get her ears rechecked. And… she has her first swim lesson after! I’m SO excited. Of course, Tuesday is Cinco de Mayo, so I’m looking forward to some Mexican food and maybe a margarita? ;) xo
